Don’t you just need someone who understands what you’re dealing with, the situations presented to you, the problems you must solve? Hey, we’ve been connecting people for a few years now (and we’ll continue to do that). However…we made it even better last year with the creation of Leaders’ Circles. Leaders’ Circles are peer mentor groups who meet monthly to have private (let me reiterate - confidential) discussions about issues they’re facing in their position at their organization.
In 2012, two groups of leaders started in our pilot program: Executive Directors and Board Presidents. 100% of our respondents say that their experience helped them in their role in their organization. Let me be clear on one point here: Monthly Leaders’ Circles are NOT like what you experienced at the 2013 DSAIA Conference. That was a snapshot of what it is like to sit down with your peers and share problems, ideas and resources. True Leaders’ Circles are more in-depth and ongoing so that you can tackle a large problem over the course of a few months or tackle a small issue each month. It’s totally up to YOU as a participant.
And now it’s time to enroll for the upcoming Leaders’ Circle program! We’re happy to have Jane Page-Steiner back to help us do the initial training for attendees. And, this year, we’ll match respondents into groups according to group size AS WELL AS their role in the organization. Still, the number of groups will be limited so don’t wait to apply.
